Terms and Conditions

1. Parties

These Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) are between:

The Nanny: Felicity Matthews 'Natural Nounou', an independent childcare provider based in La Plagne, France.
The Client: The individual(s) booking nanny services for their child(ren) during their stay.

By confirming a booking, the Client agrees to these Terms and Conditions.

2. Services Provided

The Nanny agrees to provide professional childcare services, which may include:

Supervised indoor and outdoor play
Assistance with meals and snacks
Nap and rest periods
Collection/drop-off at ski school (if agreed)
Supervision in resort facilities suitable for children

Excluded Services:
The Nanny does not provide medical care, ski instruction, or transport in private vehicles unless otherwise agreed in writing.

3. Working Hours

Standard working hours are agreed in advance (typically between 08:00 – 17:00)
Evening babysitting may be arranged by mutual agreement.
Additional hours outside the original booking will be charged at the agreed overtime rate.
The Nanny reserves the right to refuse additional hours if it not convenient for them.

4. Rates and Payment

Hourly rate up to 4 children: €28
Overtime rate up to 4 children (after midnight, and/or after agreed time of booking): €48
Hourly rate 4 - 8 children €48
Overtime rate 4 - 8 children (after midnight, and/or after agreed time of booking): €68
Minimum booking: 4 hours per day
A non-refundable deposit of 25% is required to confirm a booking.
The balance is payable before or on the first day of service in cash,or by bank transfer.

5. Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellations made more than 14 days before the start date: deposit retained, no further charge.
Cancellations within 14 days: full balance due.
If the Nanny is unable to provide services due to illness or emergency, every effort will be made to arrange a suitable replacement or provide a full refund of unused days.

No refunds are offered for unused hours or changes to Client plans once services have commenced.

6. Client Responsibilities

The Client agrees to:

Provide accurate information about each child, including allergies, medical needs, and emergency contacts.
Supply necessary items: food, nappies, changes of clothes, sunscreen, etc.
Ensure accommodation is safe and suitable for childcare.
Arrange access to the premises at agreed times.
Maintain appropriate insurance covering their child(ren) during their stay and while in the nanny’s care.

The Nanny cannot be held responsible for accidents arising from pre-existing medical conditions, unsuitable environments, or inadequate equipment provided by the Client.

7. Safety and Supervision

The Nanny will maintain constant supervision appropriate to the child’s age and activity.
Outdoor and snow activities will only take place with parental consent and suitable clothing/equipment.
Children will not be taken skiing or sledging without express written permission and the Nanny’s assessment of safety.

8. Insurance and Liability

The Nanny holds public liability insurance suitable for childcare activities in France.
The Nanny will not be liable for:

Injury or loss arising from activities undertaken at the Client’s request and with their consent.
Illness or accident due to forces beyond the Nanny’s control (e.g., weather, ski resort conditions).
Loss or damage to Client property or rental equipment.

9. Confidentiality and Privacy

All personal and family information shared with the Nanny is treated as strictly confidential and used solely for childcare purposes.
The Nanny complies with EU GDPR data protection standards.

The Nanny requires express written permission to take photos of the children in thier care for the purposes of sharing with the parents/guardians whilst in the care of the Nanny; and for the use of publication on social media or promotional material.

10. Termination of Services

The Nanny reserves the right to terminate services without refund if:

The working environment is unsafe or unsuitable for childcare.
The Client behaves in a threatening, abusive, or inappropriate manner.
The children’s welfare is compromised by the Client’s actions.

11. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by French law.
Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of France.

12. Acceptance

By confirming a booking or paying a deposit, the Client confirms they have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
